Hiring for Part Time Box Truck Drivers
Part Time - 30-32 hours+ (possibility of FULL TIME employment)
Starting Rate of $8.00 and $8.25 after 90 days
Applicant Must:
* Have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record within the last 3 years (no DUIs, suspension, or more than 2 moving violations serious charges)
* Be able to pass a drug test, background check and fingerprinting
* Be available to work all shifts, weekends and holidays and overtime
Position Description:
Responsible for safely operating box truck and lift gates.
Load cages filled with luggage onto truck.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- meeting company and customer performance and grooming standards
- ability to safely operate a box truck obeying all traffic laws
- reporting status of daily operations to the supervisor and/or manager and completing daily truck sheets and vehicle inspections
- operating headsets/radio to provide communication between dispatcher and supervisors
- keeping vehicles, line equipment and ramp areas clean
- assisting with base housekeeping as required
- knowledge and compliance with all safety procedures including reporting incidents and injuries immediately to supervisor
- performing other service functions as required
- the ability to comply with the location's attendance/tardiness standards
Position Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and luggage tags; effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors including communicating over a radio; add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's using units of American money and weight measurements, volume, and distance; apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions; deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables; and occasionally lift and or move 200 pounds. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and required FAA and airport identification, seals, and authorizations.
